2025.2.19 WJCS 45th Anniversary Outstanding Service Users Award Ceremony
For the past 45 years, Wai Ji Christian Service has been dedicated to providing a wide range of services to people with intellectual or other kinds of disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling lives. The "Wai Ji 45th Anniversary Outstanding Service Users Award" was held at the St. Andrew's Church Life Center on February 19, 2025. Ten outstanding service users were recognized for unleashing their potential and transforming their lives, while also honoring the efforts of our staff.
At the ceremony, Mr. Chan Wai-wai, the Rehabilitation Commissioner of the Labour and Welfare Bureau, expressed his admiration for the service users' improvements in emotions, behaviors, and abilities, encouraging them to continue shining and living authentically. He also hopes that the public can recognize their hard work and talents, contributing to a caring and inclusive society.
Prof. Cecilia Li, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of WJCS, stated that the remarkable achievements of the service users did not happen overnight; they required more effort, time, and dedication than others. Professor Li also expressed her gratitude to the staff of WJCS for their care and support of the service users, accompanying them throughout their journey of personal growth.
With the support of Wai Ji staff and their families, we can ignite the service users' strengths, inspire their life directions, and help them thrive.
