The Agency’s Annual General Meeting 2022-2023 cum 45th Anniversary Kick-off Ceremony was staged at St Andrew’s Church on 21 November 2023. We were honored to have Mr. Alex Wong, Deputy Director of Social Welfare (Services) of the Social Welfare Department as the officiating guest, and more than 100 participants attended the function, including our directors, members, guests, and staff.

In addressing the urgent needs of aging service users, Prof. Cecilia Li, our Chairperson thanked the Social Welfare Department for launching the "Pilot Scheme on One-stop Day Training and Care Services" in two of our residential hostels. We are going to increase the number of frontline staff to enhance care for aging residents shortly.

Mr. Alex Wong recognised the efforts and achievements of Wai Ji’s Board of Directors, management and frontline staff. He emphasized that the government will continue to place focus and resources on the use of Gerontechnology for disabled seniors and community support for intellectually disabled school leavers.

At the Ceremony, the guests kicked off the 45th Anniversary to congratulate the Agency for moving forward and continuing to serve people with disabilities. We are heartily thankful to all of our directors and staff for their contribution to the Agency. Congratulations to all the awardees of the outstanding staff awards, directors and staff long service awards, and the 45^th Anniversary Logo Design Competition winners.
