lily 職業復康：實現殘疾人士潛能 促進社區共融 「李靜雯（靜雯）是精神復元人士，小時候難免在學校受到欺負或者歧視。」負責跟進工場服務的陳吳淑蕙（蕙姑娘）說。 靜雯於 2004 年被社署安排到基督教懷智服務處（懷智）轄下的工場工作。「還記得初次接觸靜雯時，一旦分配定額的包裝工作給她，便會產生抗拒情緒，總是嚷著想回家。一方面她覺得重複的工序無聊乏味，另一方面，由於自小缺乏自信，她不願嘗試新事物。當聽說需要包裝 100 份產品時，她立刻認為自己做不到。」 蕙姑娘補充道：「面對這種情況，需要根據每個人的性格來針對處理。例如，靜雯內心渴望認同和傾訴，因此不應與她正面衝突，而是要引導並聆聽她的擔憂。可以從簡單的目標開始，提供建議和鼓勵，逐步建立她的信心，使她願意嘗試，那已經是成功的一大半了。」 手工藝訓練 發掘殘疾人士潛能「工場裡每天都有手工藝培訓，例如輕黏土、折紙、繪畫、串珠和編織等。透過製作手工藝的新鮮感和樂趣，激發了靜雯的學習興趣，減少了抗拒情緒，變得更有耐性。現在的她，不僅是手工藝小組的『要員』，還擔任『大姐姐』，日常協助我教導能力較弱的學員。」蕙姑娘續說。 發現靜雯有進步後，工場安排她參加展銷，期望能進一步提升她的社交溝通能力。「展銷會人很多，第一次去我不敢跟人說話，嚇得想走。但蕙姑娘說，要主動推介產品，不然下次沒機會參加。」在蕙姑娘循循善誘的教導下，靜雯逐漸嘗試向人群推銷。 憑著天賦和勇氣，她逐漸適應了推銷工作。多年來，她已成為展銷會的「最佳銷售員」，是展會上的熟悉面孔。   下載新聞稿

Volunteer and service user joined the boat trip together
2024．12．07 Christmas Day Trip As Christmas approaches, we have prepared a Christmas Day Trip on December 7, 2024, for 20 service users and volunteers to enjoy the grandeur of Victoria Harbour on a cruise ship, as well as dinner and Christmas light display. Everyone liked the trip and had a nice day together.   We would like to thank Chevalier Group for its sponsorship and support of its volunteer team in providing hand-wrapped gifts to our service users. The volunteer’s heartfelt wishes and holiday blessing made them all joyful and satisfied.

2024‧12‧04 "Smart Life" Day Camp Activities Thanks to the support from Catherine And Fans, FFG Charity Society and Build & Wish Volunteer Team, volunteers accompanied our service users from the sheltered workshop and hostel to enjoy the day camp at Tai Tong Holiday Camp on 4 December 2024. The day camp had a variety of game booths designed by our service users and prepared by volunteers. They discussed the game winning tactics and had fun. Besides playing games, they also had a barbecue, sang and danced together, enjoying a day full of love and warmth.
Service user joined Paint Apprenticeship Workshop.
2024．11．28 Paint Apprenticeship Workshop Thanks to the support of Yip's Chemical and the Camel Volunteer Team, we organized a Paint Apprenticeship Workshop on November 28, 2024, invited a paint master to demonstrate construction skills, share experience and knowledge, allowing 13 service users to gain a better understanding of painting work and experience the spirit of craftsmanship.   The service users then applied what they have learned by doing on-the-spot painting and beautifying the hostel walls with volunteers, showcasing their artistic talents and renewing the hostel environment.

2024．11．22 2023/24 Annual General Meeting cum Staff Awards Presentation Ceremony Our 2023-2024 Annual General Meeting cum Staff Awards Presentation Ceremony was staged in the Kowloon Union Church on 22 November 2024. We extend our gratitude to Ms. Maggie LEUNG, Assistant Director (Rehabilitation and Medical Social Services Branch) of the Social Welfare Department (SWD), for officiating the event and sharing the achievements of the organization and the joy of our staff with over a hundred guests and colleagues.   Ms. Leung complimented on WJCS’s service development for nearly half a century and expressed her admiration for the patience and inclusiveness of our frontline staff. Prof. Cecilia LI, the Chairperson, thanked the SWD for promoting the "Designated Teams for Special School Leavers", which addresses the service gap faced by persons with disabilities during their transition, and she further suggested matching the hostel based on users’ age distribution to provide appropriate services.   Our board member Mr. LAU Ming-chung, on behalf of the board, expressed thankfulness to the colleagues, recognizing their contributions and performance, that have driven the continuous development and enhancement of WJCS over the years. We congratulate all the awardees of the outstanding staff awards and long service awards.   The meeting concluded successfully with the blessing of Rev. Phyllis WONG. We will continue to strive to achieve the "person-centered" service approach, walking alongside our service users, and fulfilling the mission entrusted by God to glorify Him and benefit others.

2024‧11‧02 Autumn Kite Fun A clear and crisp autumn weather is a great time for flying kites. Thanks to the support from The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) and Friends of KMB, volunteers accompanied our service users from the sheltered workshop and hostel to Tai Po Waterfront Park for a picnic and kite flying together on 2 November 2024. Service users and volunteers not only had a great time playing, but also chatting and singing together. In just half a day, everyone had already become good friends. Our service users invited the volunteers to enjoy the view and took photos together at the Spiral Lookout Tower, and are looking forward to the next gathering.
Wai Ji Joyful Aging Sports Day 2024
2024．10．7 Wai Ji Joyful Aging Sports Day The Agency held the " Wai Ji Joyful Aging Sports Day 2024" on 7 October 2024, with over 110 service users participating. The Joyful Aging Sports Day aims to provide elders with opportunities to enjoy the physical activity. The average age of participants at this event was over 50, with the oldest service user reaching 79. They still actively engaged in exercises and competitions with great enthusiasm.   Following the fruitful results of the last Wai Ji Joyful Aging Sports Day 2023, we again featured new sports and VR sports in which service users of different ages, disabilities, and physical impairments could participate. There were 6 activities on that day, including emerging sports like cornhole and boccia, along with 4 VR sports: fencing, javelin throw, and the new additions of football and cycling, allowing participants to experience the fun of sports through technology.   We would like to thank the sponsors from Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the volunteer's support by Trailsweeper and Senior Police Call – Yuen Long, and the support of Ms. Fung Shuk Man, District Social Welfare Officer (Sha Tin). Their contributions made the “Wai Ji Joyful Aging Sports Day 2024” a success, allowing our service users to enjoy sports and to build up a caring and inclusive community.
